Job description

CrazyGames Studio is looking for a founding game developer to be the right hand of our Studio Lead. Through our web platform we’re already reaching 40 million monthly players and with our Studio we want to bring our games to the next level. We’re looking for a hands-on game creator who combines strong engineering skills with the ability to bring a game to live through compelling game mechanics. In this role, you will turn ideas into playable, fun experiences quickly.

Key outcomes for the role:

  • Within 1 month, you take ownership of an existing prototype, and build it into something we can test in production.

  • Within 3 months, you make significant contributions to the direction of the game you’re working on.

  • Within 6 months, one of the games you’ve worked on has good enough metrics to focus fully on it.

  • Within 12 months, one of your games reaches the top 10 most played games on CrazyGames.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging, responsive game mechanics and systems.

  • Build rapid prototypes to test gameplay ideas and refine core loops.

  • Develop tools and components in Unity (or equivalent) to support smooth iteration.

  • Integrate placeholder or production-ready art to communicate gameplay clearly.

  • Balance gameplay, tweak variables, and adjust content to ensure fun and replayability.

  • Collaborate with other developers and artists to bring mechanics and visuals together.

  • Ensure performance and technical reliability.

What we offer:

  • Your games will reach millions of users across the globe.

  • A lot of responsibility and freedom. We hire only experts and trust them to deliver excellent results.

  • Flexible working hours and location. The results are what count!

  • Team weeks: we organize a week somewhere in Europe once or twice per year. We pay for transport and accommodation so you can have fun with the team.

  • The opportunity to play games and claim it's work.

Job requirements

  • You’ve built a game.

  • You know C# and Unity well.

  • You know basic 2D/3D art pipelines to block out or test gameplay ideas.

  • You communicate well.

  • Bonus: Familiar with version control, performance optimisation, and simple UI/UX design.
