Shape the future of casual gaming. Join us in growing the platform enjoyed by 4M+ players every day.

Job description

CrazyGames.com, one of the world’s largest casual gaming platforms used by 4.5 million users per day, is looking for a (fully or hybrid) remote Quality Assurance & Automation Manager. You’ll be in charge of assuring the quality of our platform releases, and automating the release pipeline where possible. You’ll report to the CTO and work closely with the Product managers and engineering teams. You should be able to bridge the gap between deep technical engineering and the empathetic "user mindset."

The platform involves a wide range of engineering challenges (cross-device, scaling, caching, …). We have 3 engineering teams that work in 2- week sprints. For us “Quality” is about finding bugs as well as about ensuring that a kid in Brazil, a casual gamer in Italy, and a power user in the US all have a seamless, fun experience.

On a typical day you might:

  • Review the list of test flows based on newly released platform features

  • Extend the automated test scripts to an uncovered device (e.g. newly released iPad)

  • Talk to our offshore game testing team on how the tools you use could help in their workflow

  • Meet with Product Managers to review upcoming user stories and Acceptance Criteria

  • Manually test stories that are going live next week

  • Investigate a production bug report from a specific browser version and update the test flows to catch it in the future

Key outcomes for the role:

  • Within 1 month, you have a good understanding of the current product and started supporting in the product test cycles

  • Within 3 months, you’ve mapped out a testing strategy, started automating recurring flows and installed a meaningful QA process

  • Within 6 months, we’ve significantly reduced the amount of bugs (per team member) without sacrificing on time-to-release

What we offer:

  • Join our elite engineering team and collaborate with the product team as our first dedicated platform QA profile

  • A modern tech stack on a massive scale (over 300,000,000 gameplays per month across device types from users across the globe)

  • A lot of responsibility and freedom. We hire only experts and trust them to deliver excellent results.

  • Flexible working hours and location. The results are what counts!

  • 1 or 2 team weeks per year. We pay for flights and accommodation so you can have fun with the team.

  • The opportunity to play games and claim it's work.

Job requirements

Reach out if:

  • You have a background in software engineering for a large scale B2C product

  • You have at least 2 years of QA Automation experience

  • You can switch off your "dev brain" and look at the site like a first-time player.

  • You are intelligent, efficient, and organized. You have an attention to detail.

  • You like open, efficient, and to-the-point communication and you have experience in working remotely.
